Gaius Carrinas

A Roman general and member of the Marian party, who died in Sulla's Second Civil War.

In 83 BCE, he was tasked with facing the forces of Pompey, though he had little success. He served for a short time as a legate under Gnaeus Papirius Carbo before being given an independent command. He attempted to relieve Gaius Iunior when he was besieged at Praeneste. After failing to do so, he marched on Rome with his forces. In 82 BCE, he commanded the Populares forces at the Battle of the Colline Gate. He was captured and executed.
