A Roman consul, defeated at the Battle of Arausio.
He was defeated by the Cimbri at the Battle of Aruasio in October 105 BCE. Both of his sons were killed for the battle,
and it is said that he was impeached for such a great loss. Although his fate is uncertain, it seems as if he was
convicted with the ultimate punishment, i.e., being "denied water and fire."
